I've just signed up with the link on the front page. Traffic isn't that high but hopefully they will accept me. My main site has 6500 UV this month.
I was finally approved yesterday SUNDAY! I applied 4 days ago so hang in there. They're swamped with applications. I think priority goes to applicants who mention Joel comm's name as a referreer. I typed his name in the "other" field for referrer. They noted that when they sent me the first "welcome, but you're not approved yet" letter. I inserted the tag in my blog and I'm already seeing textlinks.
Oh I didn't realise we had to say Joel Comm's name, I thought the link on the first page was a link that told them he referred us?
I don't think so because the link is not a referrer or affiliate link for Joel. It doesn't have his name in the URL. I put his name just to be on the safe side. Maybe you should apply again if it's been more than a week with no response at all.
I only applied about two days ago so I'll wait a little longer and maybe apply again if I get no response
I put DP in the referrer, but in the semi-auto-reply they sent me, they mentioned Joel Comm ... don't know if it was a plain-jane tracking URL. Regardless, Joel apparently drummed up a ton of business for them, so hats off to him. Kinda surprised we haven't seen 'em jump in on this thread - I'm sure they are watching it (?) BTW, I just got an auto-reply saying they are working on my case and I've been assigned case number 00004567 ... so don't know where I'm in the queue, but says I'll hear back within three business days.
Too bad kontera takes quite a few days to reply. Still haven't gotten an answer. It has been 4 days I believe.
Same here. It took about 4 days for me to get an approval. Hang in there. If you don't hear anything by tomorrow, apply again or drop them an email.
Just found out that Kontera's stats are not as delayed as previously thought. Today is still the 26th, but when you pull a report, it defaults to the 24th. Turns out you can change the date to the 25th and the stats from yesterday will show. I pointed this out to them and hopefully they will change the default. Anyhow, bottom line is that you can pull stats from yesterday. Joel
My question to you, is what do you make with Google each day. Has it effected your google rev at all? With 40,000 impressions, how many unique visitors are you getting each day, and what type of site are you running? Is it a forum or something different then that? One other thing, does your adsense impressions match with your kontera impressions? How do they track impressions, per in-text link? So could you have 5 links on one page and that considers to be 5 impressions? I did sign up but I only put one site in. Should have put in the rest of them. We will see how it goes. The site I submitted is a forum that recieves around 40k UV a month, so the traffic is there with out a question. Just hope it doesn't scare them off because I have 9 more sites with that same amount of traffic.
Around $350/day. No, it has not effected my google rev. 10,000 unique visitors/day. It is a job/career related site. Yes, adsense and kontera impressions match with around 5% difference. 5 Kontera links on one page is considered as one impression for Kontera. Just ask them about each of your site before putting any of their links on other sites as well. I hope that helps.
One week into using Kontera and I'm very pleased with the results - added 15% extra revenue in comparison with AdSense with no reduction in Google earnings. Which leads me to my next topic... Why doesn't Joel have more rep for recommending this great program. I mean he has already made me an extra $200 in my first week with the program! So if you applied Kontera as a result of what Joelie has said I think the bare minimum we should be doing is giving him some DP rep for it!
