There are male animals that have sex with other male animals. This constitutes homosexuality. Furthermore, animals cannot make an informed decision, so they don't "choose" to be homosexual, they are naturally inclined one way are another. Similarly, Humans are natuarlly inclined to have same-sex relations. Recall how fervently you were horny for the opposite sex, and realize that homosexuals have those same irreversible earges, only in this case for the same sex. Homosexuality is clearly not a choice.
Read the genesis and discover how God felt about women. God has implied in the bible that women are inferior to men. Have you also adopted this belief, if you accept the genesis as true? Or are you cherrypicking what aspects of God you should believe?
There is one major inheritent problem with the Bible, it was writen by humans and who knows what their agendas were.
Because of the fall of mankind, we are born into sin. The only sinless one is Jesus, because as he is fully human he is also fully God. So yes, a baby is born into sin. However, baptism is used by Christians as a washing away of our sin...which is not the same as saying sinless. That is why most protestant denominations along with catholics baptize infants.
Yes, its true we all sin. However, there is no reason to suit their needs through creating the Bible. Also, if God gave them is power then it is essentially what God wants so yes it means they didn't change anything.
These days, people go to jail for being 'divinely inspired' to drown their children. Is that God's work too? A good majority of the people routinely hallucinate, either naturally or from drugs. Who's to say the people that wrote the bible wern't just having inspirational experiences, just like Beethoven did when he wrote his musical peices. This is to say, how can we distinguish whether an inspiration is just natural occuring creativety, God, or hallucionation?
In your opinion, is God completely perfect? I recall him getting angry on many occasions within the bible. Anger suggests some sort of imperfection.
No cherrypicking going on here. Read 1 Peter 3:7 to see how women are to be treated. There's a headship arrangement that the Bible teaches. It goes like this. God - Jesus - Angels - Man - Woman - Children in that order (1 Cor 11:3, Eph 6:1). Col
So people who sin are actually doing what God wants so the sinners are not really doing any sin and just following the God's will.
I don't get why you keep asking me question relating to people's decisions. People make their own decisions. Ask them, not me. I can't answer for them. We'll I don't know if they were hallucinating but I'm pretty sure they weren't if they were able to write such a great book. If you have any questions, ask God and He will answer you.
Who says that Muhammed didn't do the same thing? What about any other religous writings? What about the Writings of religions in India, China, etc?
300 years after Christ: The Council of Nicaea Three centuries after Jesus lived, this council was given the task of separating divinely inspired writings from those of questionable origin. It wasn't what God wanted, it was what the counsil wanted. Basically they had a vote on what God di and did not want.
God was angry yes and has every right to be angry at people not toeing the line. Imperfection? God imperfect? Who are you to say that? What are your credentials compared to God's? I mean, he created the universe and us. That gives him cred. What have you done in comparison? Col
