How is the bible credible?

I don't understand how the bible is credible. Considering the God of the bible stones people to death for adultery, murders homosexuals, etc, how can God be taken seriously? Isn't he/she/it supposed to be ethical and perfect? God sounds mean to me!

    Help me understand, someone.

You are incorrect in saying that God of the Bible stones people for adultery/murder/homosexuality, etc. Actually, there is a story in the Bible of a woman who committed adultery(I can't remember where it is right now but I could look it up) and Jesus says to the people who WANT to cast stones at her, "Only throw stones at her if you yourself are without sin." That implies that no one could throw stones or condemn her because they all, and we all, are sinners.

As far as homosexual, God made Adam (man) and Eve (woman), not Adam and Steve. Therefore, love/marriage should be between man and woman.

I can help but are you willing to listen and learn. God is searching our hearts for the meek ones. Are you a meek one? God is perfect. The ones who were put to death by God deserved it for their deeds. You need to study up on all of this from the old testament to get a good grasp on it. It's so easy for people to sit back and call a spade a spade without knowing about that spade. Such is life in this wicked system of things.

How many children did they have and since all their children were brothers and sisters, does this mean that incest is permitted according to God but not homosexuality?

This had to happen to start the human race until the Mosaic Law was put into place. Read the Bible about this. It's all in there.

Oh please!!! Have you even read Genesis?? You were quoting other scriptures in other threads. How do you think Adam and Eve's offspring had offspring? It was no miracle.

God gave them a purpose to create and thats what they did. But I understand how that could be incest. However, it must have happened to multiply.

Clearly not, considering God also made 10% of our population homosexual. He must have intended it. Furthermore, 10-15% of sheep and penguins are also homosexual.

Do a little research. You will find God is quite unforgiving.

He did stone people to death for adultry, and would often destroy entire cities he didn't like. Sounds like a kid having a tantrum to me.

God did not make any portion of our population homosexual. You need to read how God felt about homosexuals by reading Genesis 19:1-29
