Let us talk about a better advertisement network which can be used instead of adsense *Yahoo is the next gaint on net whom we can believe,but its not open for all yet. *Joining bidvertiser is one of the worse thing to do as my friends on Digital Point say,I have forgotten the name of a friend on DP who gave his one line "Its better to remove advertisements on your website if you want to publish ads from bidvertiser,it may make your visitors feel good" *I am not clear about adbrite yet,some of the DP members say its same as bidvertiser,but i am not sure. *Many believe that Kontera will be a better option for inline text advertising,it cant be an option that can replacee adsense. *I heard fastclick ctr is pretty high,is fastclick good enough to count all of our impressions and clicks. My senior fellows on DP please help us to be prepared for the worse thing that can happen with adsense,please dont say that they wont ban us if we are doing right things.
I don't think webmasters live everyday thinking they will be baneed. You just can't run your sites/business with sucj negative thoughts in mind.
Did you get banned from google or did you get a warning about mature content? What is your site about? It doesn't have to be adult to be mature.. if its promoting hate or violence and such, that is considered as mature.. Also, to clarify you on adbrite: I say is better than bidvertiser. If your site has lots of views, I would suggest placing adbrite on your site to sell links (advertisers pay to post their link on your site, its not like adsense where you get paid per click). They have PPC there too however
I say kudos to the OP for working on an alternative strategy. This is real risk management, and it is what will ensure his sites continue to generate revenue, Google or no!
Diversify your site's source of income. That's all you can do. Otherwise you're putting 100% of your net's livelihood in a faceless corporation. Why would you do that, online or offline, when there are choices?
Not much you can do, just follow the TOS to the best of your ability and if they ban you unjustly, simply appeal it and hassle them alot. As for other pub networks, Yahoo is the next best after adsense. I have personally written all others off, many people seem to be trying out adbrite now. However its ads are the same untargeted random sleezy loans crap that no one clicks. Clicksor/bidadvertiser etc are all pathetic and you wont make any good money with them so dont bother unless your content with a dollar a day.
i belive in diversifying, so i have tried: AzoogleAds Yahoo Network Adbrite CJ Kontera So far, the best performing (by far) is Kontera. I've only started 're-testing' Abrite this week and i'm waiting (hoping?) for advertisers to start buying space on a few of my pages - we'll see how that goes. In the meantime i'm losing money that I could be making with Adsense on those pages..
NO - Adsense is still by far the best. I meant that of the Adsense alternatives, Kontera has performed best for me, but even on it's best day it's only about 50% of Adsense earnings..
In general, most of the time, overall, on average, for most people, Yahoo has a higher CPC than Adsense.. The problem though, is that since the inventory of Yahoo ads is so much smaller, and since Yahoo's ad-targeting is still retarded, you get far less clicks.. Of course, whichever performs best for YOU depends on your site, your topic(s), etc.. dont take my word for it or anyone else's - try each one for yourself and see what performs best for you..
my site was made with adsense in mind so it will be pretty screwed without adsense. i would consider affiliate but that would require a new site with a new strategy.
adbrite consider as CPM but bidvertiser is CPC.... Kontera is inner context link, it is CPC as well by the way, adbrite and kontera can be used together with adsense
Accidentally I have also done something which goes against google's Terms of adsense, but to my good Google has not banned me. It is not always true that google bans without any reason. It may happen with one in one lac. Please be optimistic.
adbrite gives me 2wice more then adsense i am using wallpapers and entertainment site adsense==>144 clicks 11, thousand views and 3 dollars earning adbrite ==> 78 clicks 7thousand views and 5$ earnings
what you should remember is that if you are trying to promote a particular product such as clickbank products / CJ etc then adsense just helps to drive those visitors AWAY from your affiliate links so damages your earnings... their are better ways to advertise than adsense in those instances!
Adsens is best, there is no second thought for this but it do have some hard rules to follow. One of them is not to put duplicate content on your web page.
