Do frames use up bandwidth?

My question may be dumb, but on frames (i know, I never use them) do they take up a lot of bandwidth?
Similar to proxying

 

They dont use too much more bandwidth I would say.

Shouldnt use more than if the content was directly on a site.

 

They shouldn't use up any more bandwidth than a normal site without frames.

 

well if you are going to get 1000 page loads of media rich sites, that would take up a good bit of bandwidth wouldn't it

 

It would even if they werent in frames.

 

not if it wasnt on my site, i was debating if i use a redirect or show the content via frames

 

if you show an external site using frames it would not use your bandwidth.
