How active is your forum?

I have a 1.5month old forum and it seems to be somewhat active get around 35 new posts per day sometimes 80 posts. So would you guys consider that active if so what could be done to improve it and make it have even more members as most of the new members are people spamming adult websites.

Posts your stats as well id love to hear them and say type of site you have. Thanks

My travel forum averages just over 100 posts per day. Not too bad.

 

My radio1 forum averages 0 posts a day so I'd say yours was active

I'm going to open a forum soon..... I will tell you how it goes..
But I think I need to read more how to market a forum...

 

On a weekend or school holiday I get around 250-700 a day, but any other time I get like 20-50. :/

Well I just started my forum and have not advertised it yet. But I'm implementing some cool features that should get me about 2-5000 members by year end.

site itself gets around 20k uniques a month

 

That is weird you have so many sign up and apparently a lot of people coming.. were is your traffic coming from? Also i think it helps to have something for them to offer.. as i have a clan in a game which is like 95% of were all my posts come from.. the other 5% is banned spammers and people that post like few times then never come back.

Perhaps you are not offering people what they want?

 

I have a three-week old forum that currently has 2290 posts (so just at 100 posts per day). I did have the advantage of a lot of members coming from a mutiny at another forum though. (The original forum went kinda sour after it was sold)

 

ive tried starting 2 seperate forums, tried my best to populate them, but when you have other huge forums like this one for example, with millions of posts, 99% of people would choose to join a forum this size, then join a community with little or no content/members

 

today 3 active people registered, so it's a bit more active now

and i've added new series to the forum, instead of a normal page, would get some more peeps into it

 

i had one forum which had about 500 uniques / day and about 300 posts / day.

 

I've had a few forums in the past but never got a real good start on them.

 

My forum has less than 10 posts a day but the posts are quality and we enjoy the chat. Not got many members yet as it's pretty new.

 

My forum only has about 10 posts aday, just started it on Saturday though.

 

My previous forum had about 500 posts and 40 members a day. I didn't even consider that active, hehe. I guess I have high standards.
