Both branding free and professional installation are optional.

Branding Free allows you to remove the vBulletin/Jelsoft copyright information from the publicly viewable areas of your forum. Look at the bottom of this page and you will see the copyright info there that can be removed when you purchase the branding free option. It is a one-time payment per license, which means there is no maintenance payment required on branding free. There are various reasons for or against having branding on your forum. It's a personal decision for you. If you do not purchase it now, you can always purchase it later if you decide you need it.

Professional Installation means someone from vBulletin will install the software for you. If you are comfortable copying files to your server and running an installation script, you do not need this. If you're uncomfortable doing that, then you may want to purchase installation.

I personally put my real address and phone number so they can reach me if necessary.

The other two options cost more money I believe so if you can set it up by yourself and you dont care about their link being on your forum, just leave those two out

I think normally they wouldn't have anything with this. But on the other hand there was some scandal with a revoked license these months. I think you're better of looking for answers there.

As for the forums choice: I chose Owned license. Mind you, you have to pay an extra 30 USD a year for the 'support'. (I used quotes since I never needed that and wouldn't use it, but I pay for it). That means the right to download upgraded script too. Don't go for branding free since it won't kill a forum to have the footer link in the bottom part. And normally you shouldn't need the installation from them since it's quite simple.

But do try to see if they don't have any issues with the topic of the forums. The license you get is for the domain itself, so you have to "tell them" the link. :)

Please keep us posted and best of luck :)

I don't know of anything they have against an adult forum, but the best bet would be to ask them. Same thing on the correct name, although I'm not sure why you wouldn't put your own information.

Adult sites are fine so long as they fall in the above guidelines... that being, the adult content is legal, and the site doesn't violate copyrights of others, or promote software piracy.
