which might get you flagged for duplicate content since ?c=76 and ?c=75 and ?c=74 etc etc etc will be the same exact page and content with different ending category ID appended to the URL.

 

Actually, I think that's very important and everyone, not just smub, should do this.

Otherwise, you will have a very high percentage of duplicate content pages (one for every category) and those are the kind of sites Google likes to de-index.

I see two guys/gals operate more than 20 directories : I wonder how they do it-how much energy they have They must either work 18 hrs/day or they hire editors or links are approved very late

I have only one directory right now, a general one, though I'm planning to open one more but it will be about a certain niche not general.

 

Ive just started off with one directory , which is in my signature.
Ive got another one in the pipeline http://indiabusinessdirectory.info , will wait for some days till i get the first one going.

 

Wow--just amazing amount of efforts. I must admit that-I envy all those who can manage 10 or more good quality directories on their own

 

malcolm1 has 28, and I know for a fact the effort he puts in. It's tremendous. Sometimes hauling it for a couple of days without sleep like I do.

I agree to a Point...

If you own Several Directories with Same Catagory Structure threwout as well as Constant Same Submitters then you are a Perfect candidate for this to happen to.

If you take the Extra Steps of....

1. Changing the Catagories and adding MORE + Different Descriptions in All catagories.
2. Different Submitters: If Webmasters have access to Submit to every "Individual" directory
submit page offered then this Makes ALL the difference, as you will generate uniques
3. IPs in ALL: If hosted on seperate Ips google May see the differences in each and not come any misunderstandings of cloning for other PR Sites as was the case years ago.

I operates only 1 directory, i wont operate more because i have alots of work in one directory.

Its All about Who You Are the Skills You Have and time to do it.
Directories are my main stay (Job-work) and i take it very seriosly.

Please dont compare my network of directories with what the Others Do and Thier Work Ethics...if any.
as i give more then 100% to everything directory related.
