I'd just be interested whether or not you believe in God, and why? (I assume this is a religious topic). I am undecided because I think there is little evidence for God beyond the bible, which is questionable.
I not only believe but have a spiritual relationship with him. He is my Father in heaven and Jesus Christ made it possible for me to approach him.
I don't believe in God in the sense of how most mythos describe him. I believe theres some type of higher power though.
I don't. Some reasons as to why I don't: There is absolutely no evidence that god exists. God can not be the ultimate creator. This flies in the face of creation itself. If god created everything, who created God?
Couldn't agree more. I just think it an awful shame that we seem unable to face up to the fact that this is it, and there is no more. It's a scary and difficult to comprehend thought that the only thing waiting for us is oblivion, but if we could do away with imaginary friends and the associated troubles of being subjugated to them we might get a little farther as a species.
There is no God.... if there was he wouldn't let the humans kill each other like they are doing in Iraq.
I believe in God and always have and always will. Its sad to see how many people on this forum don't.
How unimaginative a reflection when one considers that there is an "it" at all to begin with. Isn't "it" a miracle in and of itself. Do you not believe there are many other "it's" out there in the Heavens (pardon the term). Scientists are now investigating the real potential of there being alter universes. Other you's out there. There is so much that we do not know. And so much that is miraculous in all we see. Sorry, but I find your approach the somewhat self-absorbed approach of the unimaginative.
The problem with this question is that it is contradictory. To play the chicken or the egg in terms of "who created" is to argue for the need to have been created, but presumes to stop right at the "Big Bang." "Who created God" must in all fairness then be extended to "who created the Big Bang," or simply devolve into the realm of the mundanely rhetorical. What those of Faith do not have to do is argue the same. Why not? Because we believe in His complete Omnipotence and eternal Nature. Now you may not believe in our God but we are not compelled to the slippery slope that you are with this somewhat arrogant demanding of answers to which you do not then hold yourself accountable.
Indeed This is the essential flaw in the doctrine of creationism. If everything needs to be created, so does god.
No, bro, this is the flaw in your argument. For we of Faith believe He is Eternal. Now you may not believe this and, hey, that's okay. But what is amusing is that you go about to disprove His existence with an argument that undermines your own belief, that everything must have been created. You cannot argue both sides of the fence, my friend. The premise in your mind that God did not create the world, following your logic, is the very same premise that denies the Big Bang as the beginning of the world.
