I recently made a thread about looking for someone to design a flash banner for me. I was PM'ed a couple of offers, including one an established member with almost 2000 posts. She posted me her portfolio with a lot of web pages. I thought these were pretty good, although looked somewhat familiar. I asked her about costs and shes for a flash header it would cost $300. I looked at some of 'her work' again and again they looked really familiar, so I went on one of those 'free website template' sites and what do you know! Nearly all her flash work were exact matches to the the flash which were on these sites which you could get for free, or some pay $50-60 for. That is pathetic. Taking money so you can design someone a flash banner, and then stealing someone else's work and labeling it as your own. For shame, rosiee007. I have all the PMs still if no one believes me.

well doing what they did is not illegal. Mabye you feel cheated, but you probably should'nt have jumped the gun too quickly. Its good to see other examples of their work and so on. tuff way to learn, but hey you definately learned somethig i'd say
No, I made a thread about hiring a designer. For some reason the webmaster deleted it without telling me why. He told me to read the rules, which did not explain anything about why it would have been deleted. Thats why my post count is only at 1 mcfox, you dont believe me? I guess you are a friend of hers.
I didn't jump the gun, I didn't hire or pay this person anything. I'm not paying $300 for something which I could get for free. I just thought other people would want to know about this.
well if you never parted with any money you cant claim they are a fraud, and even if the work is from a free site, or pay site, if you cant be bothered to make the banner yourself, then you get someone to do it, it matters not how they did it, if you are happy with the banner, and think it is worth the price asked, then you can pay it. the fraud here is you. welching on a deal

A friend? No, not at all. It's just that I am always suspicious of new members who make allegations about someone. In my experience that person who has only one or two posts under their belt and then makes some allegation or other tends to be someone with an axe to grind from elsewhere and is often malicious with their allegations rather than informational. FYI, if you read the rules of the forum carefully, you will discover why that thread was deleted.
