Not only how many but you can find out which websites are hosted there! Check out this tool: http://www.seologs.com/ip-domains.html just enter the domain name or the i.p address.
That tool is nice as a concept but inaccurate unless I'm doing something wrong. I have tested it with a few domains that I have hosted on the same server and are pointing to the same IP. If I test by IP, it does not return my domain names, none of them.. How is it supposed to function, do you know?
A Godaddy shared account. I know there should be hundreds of sites hosted on it but I can't get my domain name to display if I search by IP. And if I search by domain name, I don't get my other domains hosted on the same account to display.
ls -al /var/named will help if you have root access via shell.OF course you can try to put a php shell and try this but i dont think it will work on godaddy.(depends chmod settings, httpd, user priv. etc )Btw godaddy can close your account if you put a php shell
depend on what type of server. A dual xeon with 2Gb Ram can host 200+ sites Of course, no one want to be hosted on a overloaded server. Just take note on the server load. If you see it keep flowing around 10-20 range.. this server is probably getting alot of traffics.
That would certainly not make me too excited about It's a shared hosting account and you can forget about root access, shell access is not there either..
