For services that I advertise on DP I work at a minimum wage. I honestly think I would make more money begging on the road LMAO.

I dont mind though. I am learning more and more new things everyday so it makes it worth it. :)

Yes exactly, also apprenticeship are great too (work without pay allows you to gain experience and knowledge). However.. working a labour job at minimum wage sucks........

In Gambia 3$/hour would be a fortune. Everything is relative.

By law, the minimum hourly wage is €2,43 ($3.19) for 15-year olds (I am).
I'm not taking any jobs at that rate since I want to be paid for my capabilities and performance and not my age.

Minimum wage is so hard to live off with.. I mean in some cities housing are in the 1k's ... there's high gas prices too (there are alternative though). Of course it all depends on where you live.. but you'd need to work overtime to feed a family.

Many, many countries has no minimum wage. I do not know where you live, but consider yourself lucky that there is a minimum wage there.

It is USD, and it is quite low, but I'm just a kid ;) If you were 23 years old your minimum wage here would be €8,10 per hour ($10,62 USD). Still less than I ask now :p

Wow.. age discrimination! That's very unfair. Thank goodness we don't have tat here in Canada

But their cost of living is also less... I guess we have to look at the ratio (wage vs. costs of living) rather than the wage soley
