I usually work at night in the dark and after looking at the monitor I couldn't see the keyboard keys and it took a few seconds for my eyes to adjust each time I looked down so today I got this: I pretty cool.
Wow... cool keyboard. I am also find difficult to work in the night time. Would you mind to tell me how much it costs your wallet...
I just looked at the Saitek website and it lists for $69.95 USD, but I'm in Canada and have a friend that works at Futureshop and paid $49.00 CAD.
I looked at that one too but it's $120 or so and the actual letters on the keyboard don't light up. There is just and LED in the keyboard that mainly lights up the middle keys and not so much the side ones and I don't really play games much. This keyboard actually lights up each key nicely, the large picture does'nt do it justice, the small pics on the bottom left are what all the keys look like. For my needs it's a much better keyboard.
It's night here and I like it. I can type at 30 WPM and I turned off the lights on the keyboard and was lucky to type 15 WPM. I usually work about 6 hours/night so this thing will pay for itself in one night as I can type 30 WPM in the dark now. Mind you my wife is a smart ass and pointed out I could have bought a lamp for $4.95 and typed just as fast.
That's a really nice find I would just turn on the lights at night lol.. but replacing keyboards are good! (think about all of the germs and crumbs and stains underneath your old ones...)
I can't turn on the lights because for some strange reason my wife likes to have the bedroom door open and she can see the light if it's on and it bothers her and she gets grumpy and she won't let me wake her up when I go to bed if you know what I mean. So not only does this keyboard save me time and make me money, it also adds entertainment value to my life. What more could you want from a keyboard?
Yeah, I never took typing in school so I am not rated as a master typer, I instead took up baiting hooks
