    Try This

    .htaccess method
create a .htaccess file in the folder and enter the following:
    php_value upload_max_filesize 250M
    php_value post_max_size 250M
Replace 250 with whatever size you like. Depending on the situation, you may need to omit the M or replace php_value with php_flag.

Well, I haven't heard good things about iX...support staff is bad...they dont have enough info and servers are old and outdated. Better leave them.

As always, I'd suggest HostGator as they have good reputation, fast support and are professional.
Here are some HostGator Reviews and Coupons if you're interested.

I am going thought a bad time with IX , i have been with them for a year sites down every day and i mean every day for about 5 - 10 mins , there support sucks and will not help install or sort any issues out you have with there hosting.

I contacted one of there support guys on Live Help about a month ago and asked when my hosting runs out , what would of been feb 21st a few days ago , if i had to do anthink to cancel my hosting as i do not wish to host my sites with them no more , the support guy tells me it will just run out and no money will be taken from your bank.
I thought grate i will just let it run out , well on the 22nd i check my bank account as i got payed from work to find all my money was gone , i thought it was a few bills i have waiting to be payed has gone though , but after a few phone called , 2 hours worth i find out none of the bills have been payed as IX desided to take $179 from my bank to pay for anther years hosting , when the guy on LiveSupport told me i did not have to do any think to cancel the hosting, besides the point i did not even get a email of IX to say thay took the $179 of me.

I have now contacted IX and its been like 4 days now and with no sign to them saying thay are going to pay me back!

    Stay away from IX !!

IX blows the big lollie pop. There speeds are turtle like, and the support is good as long as you have no major issues, then it magicaly turns to crap.

I hosted with HostGator for a while, and they were so good I moved to a dedicated server with them. 98% of the time they resolve all my issues within 15 minutes. They've done complete server rebuilds for me for $20, and make any change I request (and believe me, I make some weird requests.)

The only reason I would use IX is if I needed ColdFusion, and even then I'd almost prefer to host out of my house instead!
