    No choice whatsoever - PAYPAL!
Many more people use and accept PayPal as payment and it is much easier to fund and withdraw funds from your PayPal account than titting on with e-gold.

I'd suggest searching DP forums as it has already got a word to say around your question. Paypal. Use that and wait for Google Chechout to extend. E-gold is rather awkward.

I think e-gold is the best, even though many scammers use it.
But I think it's way better then PP.

I don't know much about e-gold. I just ran away after a few attempts to understand where my money was and why all those funny ounces, gramms, platinum, gold, silver. What are your reasons to believe e-gold is superior to Paypal which I doubt? Would seriously like to hear a few good points, thanks.

If given those choices, Paypal definitely is the best option.

E-Gold is complicating and can get expensive with all the charges and as a customer, you have totally no protection.

The only good think about e-gold is that you can always find someone looking to purchase it with Paypal, so you can get more revenue from that.

Paypal is more widely accepted, but I like e-gold better because thats the payment processor my investments place uses. Plus e-gold is more international then paypal.

depends on where you live. If you are from Philippines or Indonesia, e-gold will be the better choice coz paypal is not allowed in a few countries including those countries.

If you just want to compare both of them, I'll choose Paypal. :)

What are you looking for, return on investment or liquidity? Paypal for liquidity, e-gold for investment.

A couple of important things to consider with e-gold:

Firstly from a buyers point of view, e-gold offers no protection to the buyer. There is no such thing as being able to initiate a chargeback if you didn't get what you were told. Also, if you as a merchant offer e-gold and no other payment option then you will lose sales as many people don't have e-gold accounts.

Also from the merchant's point of view (and in fact the buyers point of view...in fact anyone who has an e-gold account), you need to be aware that e-gold accounts are highly targeted by hackers. If your account does happen to be compromised there is basically nothing you can do about it....my e-gold account was personally compromised in the past (I lost approx $US 250) and I was ultra careful about security. That being said I've since implemented a number of extra security steps in my process since when using my e-gold account and haven't had any further problems to date...

In short, I'd say offer both....that way if a purchase doesn't/can't get a PayPal account at least they can have an e-gold account.

    Regards

    Adam

Paypal: more popular, more trusted among people. I go with paypal for accepting payments because people simply trust it more than E-gold...

E-gold: less known (its getting more popular now)..

I have also noticed increase in popularity now that more and more designers and developers join the online workshop, and that means as well countries that are not covered by Paypal. That's where names like egold pop in. But where PP is supported, I doubt there are many egold users for other than accepting payments or paying for products where buyers or sellers do it through egold only.
