    Yahoooooooooooooo:D
Great job-- Thank you very much. You experiements and my experiements are the same.

The other day --I posted on a thread that PR and high quality backlinks greatly improve SERPs--and somebody ;) pointed out that I was wrong in my ideas.
Now it proves that real good backlinks does a world of good for any site.

Modern SEO gurus/experts always downplay links from directories and also say PR is not important for SERPs.
But your experiment proves them totally wrong and my comment day before yesterday is vindicated.

mommies boobies are calling for you, so i suggest you get to it, 'little man'

if 'arrogance' in your little man's world correlates to truth, then so be it.

    again: stop kidding yourself.

Now it's my turn to call bullshit. I am the one who pointed out how wrong your ideas were. You can call me by my first name, Erect.

For total clarification, I did not call your ideas wrong, I called them short sighted. If you want to get a better insight on how worthless thousands of low quality links are you should read what thegypsy has to say about link profiles, our ideas are similar but he has about 3x the brain cells I do. All links are definitely not created equally.

"Ad Alta meets MR.Bill" has a whopping 849 pages of competition, none have that exact phrase in the header, title or url . . . except wwws. I have a 1 month old directory with a PR0 and could achieve this for such an irrelevant phrase. I bet if it were tried with something like "gay money shots" your results might not be so good.

wwws, your experiment was good and successful but they should be more related to how long it takes to get indexed and included in SERPs than what this thread is about. This post is not to knock you, just others taking your results way out of context.

Search results do net equal "competitiveness" by far. If you'd like to get some idea about how many sites might be targeting that phrase, try an allintitle quoted search. I see a total of 25 results ;)

    Please see my post above:

Popular internet directory - 60 pages with that phrase in the title, and it looks like directory listings pointing to your site, so I would be disappointed if I didn't rank in the top spot.

But back to wwws: I don't see it in the top 10 of those results, but rather on the second page within the Supplemental results. I wouldn't attribute NWParks ranking to wwws.

Personally i define "weak PR4" as the level under .com being PR 1 or 2 and second level having no PR.

I define "strong PR5" as the level under the .com having PR4 or even a 5, and next level having PR 3/4 etc.
