I wish to put about 15 music files (mp3, or WMP format) on my website...which i use dreamweaver to use... But i dont want the files to be DOWNLOADABLE by visitors... I want to be able to PRESS PLAY on the button, and PRESS STOP on the button... so they JUST listen, but they CANT download.... (perhaps opening up as a windows media player file?) What ways can this be acheived? any website companies which help this ? Get back, with advice...
You can't. Even youtube can't prevent people from downloading videos. The best you can do is make it annoyingly difficult to download, by say using a Flash player (like YouTube does with videos).

They still will be able to download the songs. They can just get a program that records sounds from the computer and play the song. There are many out there. So i don't think you can really protect them from getting downloaded. - Prilep
if all you guys are right then how can smashits.com and raaga.com prevent user to download their songs if they are fail to prevent user for downloading their songs then please tell me how can i download songs from these sites...
