I have a problem!

I have a problem in my office, that one of my employees is kind of slow.
The probably really is because she is not fast while moving the mouse.
You know how it is when you are fast at moving the mouse you can get alot of work done.. Are there any programs out there that train how to move the mouse faster. (Just like the idea of how to type faster on the keyboard?) :)

You can increase the mouse sensitivity. In this way a little move will be too fast. :D

Why not hire a new employee? It seems that the quality of this person is lacking. Of course I don't know the full story, so you may not want to fire her, but it seems like you should always consider hiring the best person for the job, right?

When you said that she's slow, does that mean that she's a slow learner? I think you should just try and teach her first but if it doesn't work out them fire her.

There are several factors that could be at fault here, most of which have been brought up (I laughed at the notion of dirty mouse balls) and each of these factors should likely be looked into and not discounted.

Make sure she has a GOOD mouse pad. I've used some that I swear were not made for a mouse at all, because the ball would not roll with them. Also make sure the pad is clean. A dirty mouse pad, results in dirty mouse balls *still giggling* and dirty mouse balls can cause the pointer to be jerky, slow, or simply not function.

There are several flash games out there were a fast mouse is needed, or as another person said, there are several games out there that need a quick hand/mouse. install some, or even give them as gifts (Here, have a bonus). Allowing a certain level of goofing off, or gift giving can increase not only mouse speed, but also moral, and good moral contributes to a better job (just remember it's a job, not a fun house, too much of a good thing contributes to missed deadlines while the employees have that "quake tourney").

    Best of luck :D
