I would have since it matches well with the naming of my directories (Indexscript - Your Index, Indexzilla ) but I am not planning to create any more directories. Thumbs up once more

That's because people use search engines instead of directories to look for websites, so you shouldn't expect a lot of quality traffic. Directories are mainly for webmasters to gain backlinks to help boost their PR in the search engines and can also help the website that hosts them.
I kinda like the simple and clean look myself maybe he does too. What makes it unattractive to you if you don't mind me asking?
not only simple and clean - fast to load too anyway, that's the default skin (needs to be simple) - you can easily skin it yourself or choose a free one from http://www.indexskins.com
Thats a pretty good effort! It is a nice lightweight directory script as well. I run a few directories with other scripts, but chose yours for my latest one - it is just so much easier to install and set up than the other free ones. I hope it goes from strength to strength and keeps improving with each new release.
I'll be starting another directory soon, and will definitely be using your script. Will wait for the new release. I hope more people get behind your script.
