Good question. How many Iraqis have to die at the hands of terrorists seeking virgins who willfully kill them every day and get a complete pass from certain people on this forum?

 

How many more US troops will die trying to save innocent Iraqi's from their own fellow countrymen and women (or do they let women be suicide bombers?? against islam maybe? Off with their heads!!!)? I will never understand the suicide mentality myself, other than to say at least they are cleansing the gene pool....

I did infer that we are fighting al qaida in Iraq. And it is not wrong, we are. My point was that we are not in Iraq to fight Sunnis, Kurds and Shia. Are we? No doubt on the Shia/Sunnis. No where did I state or infer "most of the isurgent groups are lead by al queda"

and my point was we are most certainly fighting sunnis and shia groups local to Iraq and MOSTLY not Al Qaeda, although "al Qaeda in Iraq" took the name of "al Qaeda" for branding purposes.

Its a stupid poll that reflects the thinking of the administration that got us in the war in Iraq in the first place, defying the thinking that kept George Bush Senior from attacking Iraq in the first place, that defied the thinking of military leaders that said don't go in unless you have the right resources in the first place.

An appropriate poll might be Do you believe America should continue to drain its valuable resources of heroic soldiers and funds in a morass of poorly thought out reasons, lies, total ineptness, and a strategy that is increasing terrorism and American enemies around the world...or do you believe Americans should be smart and pull its troops out of the line of fire where they are killed by hidden bombs and slinky enemies that hide behind the citizenry.

How many years were we in vietnam?? lets see, roughly 1963-1975...12 years, 58000 soldiers = around 4800 killed/year....US involvement in Iraq: 2003-2007 with roughly 3400 troops killed=850/year....yes sir, we have another vietnam on our hands....

 

If people dont' atleast realize we have a regional issue if we leave immediately, then they're completely ignoring reality.

Atleast take that into account and plan around that.

Incorrect, al qaida *was* in Iraq prior to the invasion. This has been documented and covered time and again. Once again, integrity *should* matter. For some reason, it doesn't.
