hi, i have finish install phpld directory, but at the end i gotta change permision for include/config.php to 555. right? so i tried to change permission but it doesnt change, even though on ftp, it says permission changed, but after 5 sec it comes back to 755. strange any solution would ne help.... thanks in advanced.
Cpanel? If so use the filemanager to set the permissions. I suggest setting it to 444. I have seen this happen a few times using ftp to set the permissions and everytime it's a cpanel based host.
How does that than explains this (why blame poor cpanel always i know its buggy but come on ): Also how does this error " Configuration file is still writeable by the user the webserver runs under. This poses a major security risk, please drop writing permissions for include/config.php file immediately! " Relates to cpanel ? isn't it a script error ?
Thanks for your suggest, but if i set it to 444, it goes back to 644. never seen such a problem before..
I lay blame where I find the problems at Hmm me thinks I see it is a cpanel server. Script error? how so because it detects it is writeable under the server?
me wonders why phpld2 not show error in cpanel server ? Script error? how so because it detects it is writeable under the server? but not show in phpld2 ? I lay blame where I find the problems at its script issue, why phpld2 never give errors? or is phpld2 not good at all ?
It's resolved. By doing as I first posted. As I stated it's something that is specific with cpanel servers. It wasn't directed at your specific hosting service. I offer it (cpanel hosting) myself.
But my issue still remains why phpld2 does not do that while phpld3 does? even if its the same cpanel server?
The script now checks for write permissions instead of certain chmod. I always suggest 444 to cover all the bases.
