If you, or someone you know, is using a free template that you obtained from Aviva Directory or that was sponsored by Aviva Directory, it is essential that you read this ASAP:

If anyone has questions or concerns, please let me know and I'll do everything I can to help.

Also, if you are a member of a forum where I am not, I would appreciate if you could pass on this message.

Yup, I have heard that search engines can detect trying to hide links... and downgrade the quality of the website. This was pretty sneaky and in bad taste of Niedojadlo...

Not sure how he wanted to get away with this. His blog is showing over 2k backlinks in Yahoo, all from sites that use templates without his footer links(which are not placed in footer, but hidden using display:none).
Sooner or later someone would notice this.
But I must admit it is good tactic for those who remove footer links :)

I've decided to post publicly since being in the private eye isn't a smart thing to do when it comes to self respect.

I've hired someone from another part of the world who programs my templates and yes I did ask him to place these links in my free templates to ensure I get my back link for my hard work.

However I only asked him to do this on templates that were released of my own not templates for Jeff (onlinedude) and clientel from DP.

I sincerely apologizes on behalf of my out sourced team and myself on this doing. If anyone needs help solidifying the situation such as cleaning the code up manually I can gladly have it done for you.

Any questions please message me directly via PM. thank you.

You'll outsource a line of code?

The best way to not get caught is not todo anything like that. Rep ruined. Trust begone. Reminds me of that one thread when smub got caught.:D
