well, I don't think I know any really. Except those mega directories. I think yours stands out for that. I think many directory owners don't re-write descriptions at all. When I submit I pick one of 6-7 descriptions. Sometimes I write very original description. But I bet many use the same ol' description (as well as anchor). This hurts all other directories really.

I don't know any of them--to be frank --and when I list my other sites to directories I don't care about uniqueeness as long as there are too many descriptions for the site for big G to raise the FLAG.:D

I think it is the directory owner's concern to create unique contents/listing for sites submitted so that it ranks high on SERPs.:D I reckon Webmasters don't have such time to list unique contents for their sites for each and every directory.

And not to mention professional submitters most of whom use programs.

    :D

English, Japanes, Chinese, French and Korean. :D

At least, unique content can be recognized by SEs. I think that matters from SEO point of view.

Having uniqueness in terms of being different from others in content is not hard to have. I am sure Dmoz editors see more than just differences between websites.

You can fool SEs easily. But Dmoz editors are not like that.

    Lol--popotalk
It quite harsh:D I just don't understand what a uniqe contented directory can offer to clients/webmasters:confused: :(

Unique contents are vital and most important for SEs--but --welll.... a unique contented idrectory will help its SERPs I think. I don't know about clients' websites.:p as they need little bit of duplicate contents as well --enough for bots to find them!

Right on target. That's why the unique contents will never ever be listed since the editors are HUMAN and know what's there to list.
    Example of Great Content. :D

Very good and valid point you make there:cool: . Webmasters have their own optimization strategy and if directory owners change it--is their submission worth it?

My http://www.addtopsites.com passes the test, so its unique...lol...

If you submit your directory to different directories (or other sites) with different descriptions, you will pass the test...DUH...

Does that mean your directory is UNIQUE ???
