Directory Submitter Software

Does anyone know of software that you can enter all your sites' info int (titles, descriptions, links, email, etc.), click to go to the site, and then click a button to fill the fields? Something like RoboForm, but for the sites? Ideally, I should be able to enter the URLs for new sites into the database, but hopefully it will come with a good number pre-entered. Anyone?

Try this if you haven't: (I wrote this online software application)

    http://www.4th-media.com/submission/

It fills a form in one-click and track submission in one click.
a list of directories are ranked by approval rate.

why use a software.. not all directories have the same requirments ! once they found it comes automated submission, your submission can be automatically rejected..or even banned

The majority of the spiderable and Quality directories dont accept automated submission

Do it manually..youll get good result ;)

And you will only end up submitting to all kind of crappy directories, the good ones need a manual submission

Don't be lazy and do things the right way

I am not looking for automated...just semi-automated...where I can click a button to fill the fields from a saved project, and allow manual review to ensure things are correct, select category, etc. Just looking for something to speed the process a little.

Imagine if thousands use that softwares, this means thousands sites also submitted on that same directory. And for me thats useless.. I suggest manual submission.

    Cheers!:D

I'm getting some submissions from some automated submission software. You will find descriptions in url field and and url in descriptions field.

I have encountered a dozen of them this week. And the end result was banning thier IP.

Also it will be difficult to update the software as directories introduces new fields like verification number etc.

Few days ago, I even got password filled in instead of description, while my dir doesn't require any password.

Anyway, I don't use it but I have seen few people here recommend Roboform in the past.

I appreciate it's not really what you are after but if you use Firefox this extension can cut down on the typing for directory submissions:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/quicksearch.php?q=informenter&section=A
(sorry just discovered can't add a proper link till I've reached 10 posts)

I downloaded it to take a quick look just to see what it was about. The concept is not bad. It would function in a similar fashion to a Firefox extension I have written, except not nearly as flexible. The problem with the program that is immediately visible is that it does not allow entering of new sites, and only includes a _very_ small number of sites. I was expecting to see at least 50. I don't remember how many it had exactly (I uninstalled), but it seems it was less than 10. I am thinking about 7 or 8. That's not of much use.

there are only 7-8 directories in the demo version. If you read through the site you'll see the full version has more than 100 directories. Also you'll see that you have an update option for the directories.

Directory submission software will nvere help you. Infact then there will be chances of errors while submitting your site. There are lot of software to fool around people but as you have good knowledge of SEO then you should never use it.

Ah. That's a bit better, then. It would still help a lot to be able to add custom sites.

To clarify, I should mention the software is not fully automated. So, it would be 100% safe and effective. It only fills the fields for you, from what I understand. It does not submit. So, you can make any changes you want.
