Gas (or petrol as we say in good old blighty) is taxed at around 60% here.
    It's shocking.

Still, you don't need to worry about building new refinarys now that you've taken over Iraq. :D

Add Iran to that in the upcoming invasion and your gas worries will soon be all over. :D

The EU has some funny idea that if you tax the living shit out of fuel, markets will wholesale to alternatives. While there's some slight truth to that, ultimately it will primarily depend on places like India, and China...where the fuel prices are highly restrictive on their market growth. $51 dollars a barrel isn't bad for America,...but it's a lot of money for India.

Their markets are sparking most of the current investment.

I think we're close to replacing most petro usage. Not immediately of coarse, but I believe our technologies (in America) will get us there soon. The diversity of the below tech is very compelling, and I believe it could very well be highly commercial.

Same where I live. But then that pays for our roads, and we have some of the nicest in the lower 48.

Yeah because Iraq is just a bustling refinery haven.

Facts seem to escape AGS for some reason. Truth is, Iraq's three refineries produce less than 500k barrels a day. Lame argument there AGS.

The EU=Russia's and middle east's bitch.

Curious Ferret,...is your ideal government European-like? Do you think Europe's left-leaning countries convey a good example of government?

In in whole and in part....?

You don't necessarily need to live there, to know how it's government is ran/run.

I only ask that, because I tend to think some liberals in America show ambitions towards a European-like government. I'm just curious whether they (or you) generally think Europe is a good example of government...both in part and in full.

But if you sincerly don't have a general view of Europe, I guess you can't answer my questions.

I'd be flattered if I did, but it's really just a part of the delusional conspiracy theory bubble you live in!

You got a little brown spot on your nose there, might want to take care of that ;)

Exactly! By using psychological projection, they project their own unacceptable behaviors onto others as a defense mechanism.

This is basically the same thing AC does, when he's not in the psych ward ;)
