This cant be. If you have in your paypal invoice exactly what you are selling, then there should be no problem b/c they can verify ownership of a domain name, etc.

So...all you have to do is let them verify everything. If the person paid the invoice based on the details of it......who cares?

i mean i make my invoices very detailed and i always tell my seller to....so pp can verify....whether the goods are tangible or not.

not offering any type of protection? f that! i see a lawsuit!!! espeically if you can prove you gave them what they wanted.

irght now im doing a dispute w/a guy who i paid 1 payment of 3 for 210 of 600. he disappeared....and i havent seen so much as 1 line of code from him. i gave pp everything they needed. and them fuckers better give me my money back! OR ELSE!

I bought a website where the seller was not honest and forthright about the site. I then filed a grievance with paypal and they said there was nothing they could do as it wasn't a tangible item. The clown who sold me the website is in my sig and he's still trying to sell other worthless sites via sleight of hand, bait and switch methods.

    WARNING!

Just so you know I called paypal and this weird thing with the first "buyer" was not a refund. The account of the owner is being investigated I think it was either hacked or a scam.

Can a MOD please close this thread. It is turning into a discussion on scams, which is a great conversation, just the wrong category.

Since many want to use paypal, and a lot don't want to use escrow. What you do before the sale, tell the buyer to pay the money, once money is paid, to do a buyer resolution (chargeback), and then update the chargeback as completed.

Once that is done, there can be NO MORE paypal chargebacks and you will not have to worry.

Incorrect. Even if you withdraw the money they can do a charge back, leaving your account in the negative and out of luck.

Not sure what the time frame for a charge back is.

Only bad thing about Escrow.com is that if your non US it's "slightly" more inconvenient to pay. Still, definitely worth it for high priced sites.

Exactly. Like I said I was on the phone with PayPal asking for the seller's protection policy and they said that for intangible goods (like e.g. domain names) you have to seek a solution outside PayPal.

There is nothing that prevents people from doing a chargeback. What are you going to show? An email? Anyone can fake those. Escrow rocks. I hope they don't get too greedy. Their commission is not that bad if you split it in half between the two parties.

    To all other potential buyers:

I'm the one who bought this site at BIN price, and deposited all the money at escrow.com right away. Well, I am facing family emergency issue from last night and just can't afford to anything right now. I have to redirect this fund to this other need and am losing escrow fee myself. I know this just happened in such a short time period and I'll have to move on with right decision anyway.

This is great site and I still want to be a winner. For any potential buyer, it would be a good opportunity.

    Asen,

Please reopen this auction and continue your effort. You're great guy.!

As Maui6996 pointed out this site is available for sale again. I have already received few offers from potential buyers. Again - only Escrow transaction will be allowed to protect both buyer and seller.

    Thank you, all!
