Hello. I would like to know is it legal to rewrite a article that has been written by someone else. Will it not go against the writers copyrights. I have read about people rewriting articles to make them more unique. Also where is a good place to start to find articles. Thank you all in advance for your time and advice The-hungry-hamster
When you buy plr articles it's legal. If you go to an articledirectory and take an article and rewrite only a few words it's not. If you use the latter you should rewrite the complete article and in effect only use it as background material for yourself.
Use these different articles you find as your research. From the research make your own conclusions and write up your own findings and opinions from your research.
be really care full doing this re writing stuff.. if you are just intresting in makeing the changes only in few.. either you got to built it all again which is as good as writing again or simply write again..
If you're talking about Free Reprint Articles from article directories like ezinearticles.com or goarticles.com, the answer is yes - it's copyright infringement to rewrite them. PLR or Private Label Articles are what you want - you can generally rewrite them and put your name on them without violating the copyright. To minimize the impact of being stuck in the supplemental indices with SE's, you want to re-write by a minimum of 30% (more if possible). This is because PLR Articles are generally sold to more than one person, so you end up with the same article as many other people.
yes.. issues come up when they have the copyrights. and free stuff is so much copied already that SE's don't like crawling them much
actually Mike I think you will find that if the article is rewritten even from that source that it will pass a copyright test. As long as there is sufficient independent or unique content then the rewrite would be considered to be perfectly unique and legal. You cannot copyright and idea.
Sometimes the author would be glad to publish it in your place too or at least give permission. But getting out to hunt articles can get you in trouble. I use copyscape from time to time to find out who stole from my articles again and I am not nice at all to them. I got some unique exclusive articles stolen and I wasn't too happy
Grab the keypoints from the article....find some more points from research online...grab some more good points ....add in your wrtiitng style and tada....a new article. Desmond
If you change couple words then you might get in trouble but if you go and read and article and then decide to write about that topic on your site and you just start putting stuff into your own words and not making anything the same as the other then you should be fine.
In fact, to avoid raising any infringement issues, it is always a better solution to grab only the keywords and expand them yourself. Following SE algo is not a bad idea at all, still the limits of legal rewriting are quite vague.
