I'd like to inform the general public of Digital Point about a situation that has arose after I attempted to sell my logo design in the Templates section of the forums.

I sold the item to a user named Peter Avey and told him that he owed me $25.00 and I would send him the logo right after I received the payment. He began to tell me that he wasn't interested anymore without any indication in the deal thread about this.

Now I am not mad about the $25.00 but when I left him bad iTrader he proceeded to leave me negative iTrader as well saying I didn't want to sell the logo for the price listed. This is totally untrue and i am disappointed that a user with over 50% feedback and bad trades can continue being a member here.

For Moderators please check my Private Message logs with this user to prove my innocence.

I hope people post their experience and maybe a solution to people like this on the forums. Please reply with comments.

Thats sad. Users with alot of negative itrader points should be banned (IMHO). Thats the only way DP can maintain a good reputation and trust between buyers and sellers(or service providers). If such a thing continues, I am sure most people here will start losing trust in each other. When you provide a service online, the only thing you really have is Trust. And if trust isnt there, you have got nothing!

And the idea of giving someone a negative recip is a really dumb thing to do for revenge lolz.. Anyways Chris, I hope the Moderators help you in resolving this issue. The neg iTrader you got deserves to be removed as its not a legitimate one.

It was an open auction why would he leave me negative rep for him not paying for the item doesn't make much sense... lol

All I am asking is how do I settle disputes like this without getting suggestions of "why deal with him" i just want to get this taken care of so it doesn't happen to others, I received negative rep for no reason...does iTrader not mean anything?

If you really didn't care about the 25 bucks then you would of not left him the negative itrade mark. Then you would of not got your negative Itrade mark.

You could always ask for both itrader submissions to be reversed, pleading you did not know what you were doing. GeorgeB and KingofKings are both correct. There was no reason to leave neg itrader as th deal did not go through.

I have heaps of customers that say "I will buy, what's your Paypal id" and never do. I would be opening a whole can of "Whoop-Ass" on myself if I gave all of them neg itraders.

My suggestion is to move on by not posting anymore in this thread, in fact, asking the mods to lock it.

    Col :)

Never going to happen, I traders are pretty much set in stone...

As many wise men had said in the past ......Don't worry and just move on, if you are a true person it will just get buried.

I also agree that an infraction could be on the way to the OP....

I already got one but what i am trying to say is DP supporting non-paying bidders by not allowing me to win this ITrader case against this guy? I just need to understand -- not trying to cause trouble just need to see it from DP's eyes

Good luck getting it fixed. This happened to me once, a guy said he had sent payment and without checking send the download link. Turns out he never paid me and refused to do so. Even porse he left me negitive itrader. :(

What you wrote in the deal thread, there weren't any deals as far as i know, you should have continued with the auction instead.
