How did wikipedia become some well known? Do they make any money? or are they like dmoz? Trying to work out the history of the wikipedia idea and how it became what it is today?
but what did they do? how did it launch? was it a case of launch and then wait like most things. Its little like what came first? chicken or the egg ... If they had no content then why would they get traffic and also why would people be interested in them?
On a quick side note, on last night's episode of "American Dad" Wikipedia was highlighted at the end. However, it was somewhat shown in an unflattering light, but I thought the reference was funny none-the-less. Also, Google was mentioned on last night's episode of "King of the Hill". As you can see, I am addicted to Fox's Sunday night line up. Strange, but true. -PRADCO
