Ok, There's probably a million things I could ask and go on forever learning and learning so I might as well ask this: Let's say I just got started with a website and I was thinking of buying a link. The sitemap is in, it's submitted to a load of search engines, about 100 directories, etc. Now, for example: Let's say I bought this Link sale. Does this kind of purchase really help? What effect would it do?
Ideally you want links from relevant pages with keyword specific anchor text from the main body of the site, preferably within the main body of text. Footer links and sitewide links will serve to encourage spiders to crawl your pages more regularly (as long as the source pages get crawled regularly) but will do less for your ranking for any given keywords.
PR is important to get on top of my competitors which are killing me with amount of resourses(by the way) but losing with quality. Then with this PR will bring my site ahead of theirs, bringing traffic that will click Mine instead of the Evil competitor people. Many searches on google show both my link and the competitors, I just happen to be down a few pages PR at this time.
Not necessarily... PR means a lot of backlinks from other sites with high PR... High PR sites han have 0 traffic...
