Hi everyone, I've started an internet marketing blog at http://www.virtualmarketingblog.com/ and I'd like to know what topics you would like to see. Do you have any specific questions? Any specific topics? Thanks
Thanks Glen. I like to know my readers, so what is your "favorite" marketing category? Any topic you would like me to write more about? Thanks again.
People like to hear about new things and ways to do things people talk about but never go into detail about, for example a blog called netbusinessblog is now very popular after a lot of talk about a post called 'how to build a niche minisite' Hope that gives you some ideas "If your field is already competitive, you have to give a lot away in order to build up enough authority to catch up" Aaron Wall
Affliate programs, you would test and write about different ones and give us feedback with conversions, support, pay-outs etc. You could also cover setting up your own affliate program. I haven't yet seen a blog dedicated to afflaite programs, but so many webmasters use them. Good luck with the Blog!
Hmmm, well its really a blog dedicated to internet marketing, not really monetization. However, I could write about how to promote your affiliate program or maybe a review of affiliate networks.
That's part of why I decided to focus on that when I started one, though I'm approaching different problems than those you're talking about. I'm always surprised by how little affiliate coverage there is and how superficial most of it is. For instance, I haven't seen blog posts about Azoogle's complete conversion to an encoded link style for their 2.0 platform, for instance, even though it's going to play havoc with lots of existing systems. I searched Google for 30 minutes and could barely even find it mentioned. Anyway, I agree, affiliate marketing is disproportionately under-represented (as is email marketing). Search Marketing and its various relatives get most of the press for whatever reason. I can't throw a rock on the internet without hitting someone talking about link building or the latest Google updates. This is valuable content, but considering that a very high percentage of what's being discussed in those blogs drives traffic to affiliate offers, the lack of focus on the latter is fascinating. My $.02.
