PR prediction for directories--Do you care?

I think nobody seriously believe these predictions --but still everybody is concerned about it.

    Here I have some sample---
Can anybody believe V7N going down? Or Linksjuice going down? I can see terryuk has been promoting Linksjuice like anything (Most probably he wants PR7 by next update and I am realy happy for that, have a sponsored listing with L J:D ). It is everywhere now--the banner of Linksjuice.

Also V7N's banner can be found on almost all major pages gining them strong backlinks.
Please don't look at my Directory's figures--I am silently trying to bring life into a directory that was almost dead 3 weeks back:(

So how come the prediction shows like this? Is not it ridiculous?

PR Predictions are not accurate and cannot be accurate as G has the algorithm so how can 3rd parties predict on someone elses stats

Note on the site of one PR Prediction Tool
This tool will provide an estimation of the future PageRank and should not be considered precise.

    Guess that says it all

I have tried the tool, but seems no site got the prediction PR

Now you may consider it as comfort for your hard promotion :D

I know that Amit--have fairly god experience. I started this thread to see how people react:D :p

Honestly--I think V7N and Terry's Linkjuice are going to be PR7. They are spending too much:D :D

I think Sabian will be a happy man--he keeps mentioning that voisd is predicted PR6 and with little more effort--he should be up there among the big boys--PR7. Keep up Sabian--just little more and you are there.

I agree with this statement 100%. As I have always said links according to msn and yahoo having nothing to do with google page rank and therefore can not in any fashion predict what your future page rank will be.

Thanks, i was wondering why you'd iwebtool'ed my site in your original thread post. I've built up quite a few standard backlinks from free brand new directories (which is always good), i've also got listed in the bigger high quality sites such as Aviva and Alive as well as a couple of sitewides on relational sites. I've also added an RSS feed onto the index page which provides dynamic content - so it will be interesting to see if that makes a difference. Theres also been quite a bit of change in my SERPs for my target phrase of 'webmaster directory' ... im now in the top 10 and on the first page of google.

As mentioned by others though i've been stung by the PR prediction bug before so to be perfectly honest its nice to realise the potential PR but im not going to hold my breath. I mean my new Unleashed General Directory is predicted to go from a PR4 to a PR5.

At the end of the day at least it gives us something to talk about :)

    prediction tools are garbage.

if you believe in them, then you must also believe in the tooth fairy.

    Do you believe in fairies?

Are you trying to tell me the tooth fair isn't real? In all fairness when i was predicted a PR4 i got it... although as the name goes it is only a prediction. I never get my hopes up!

Personally, I don't really care if the predicted site is going to be PR X or not. I mean, if it is going to be PR 10, does that mean you are going to stop caring for your site? No, it's just an indicative tool, which does not mean anything.

Furthermore, is PR really that important?

Fun tool, it shifts each time I use it. WWWS.org PR6:rolleyes: Then PR4, then PR5. I like to use the magic 8 ball instead of this.

This the Best Quality Link Back that you can ever have.

Besides that we have this as example of the few of the PR7 Links. PR 7 Links

But I don't want to talk about it anymore since with that many links of PR4 to 8 I bought and would not get the result I want then Ces't La Vie.
