Epassporte is great. You get a credit card it with to withdraw cash or as Eftpos and the best part is no fees except for loading money from your credit card.

The only reason why I use Paypal is because it is a household name among online business people. Only a handful of clients I work with do not use Paypal. At the same time, I don't really trust Paypal.

In 2004, my account was suddenly frozen due to "suspected" fraud, but Paypal refused to tell me what is was. It was six months before I received my money, so the so called "fraud" obviously didn't occur. My best advice is to not keep a whole lot of money sitting in any of your online accounts.

Ive never really had any issues with PayPal, we had worse issues with StormPay.

Its about market share and PayPal has it, love it or hate it.

I'm located in Ukraine and though PayPal let citizens of Ukraine open PayPal accounts and verify them with our ukrainian Visa cards - they still don't allow me to send or receive money. The question is - what should they allow to verify my account if I still can't use it?

Well, from what I see, Ukraine belongs to one of those countries which allows you to purchase from vendors which accepts Paypal as payment processor. The funds would come right off your credit card which you verify to the vendor.

The reason why they want you to verify your account is so that they can establish that you are the authorized card holder and not someone who obtained a credit card number illegally to make purchases. They do not condone fraud.

There are many people having problems with paypal... and the only only reason that people use it, is because every major company uses it.. That's all.

And can you name any other company with the amount of customers paypal has, or even %5 of there customers without "many people having problems".??
Also the fact every major company uses it should show its a good service.

i have had many paypal accounts all have been verified and run smoothly. i was the set up an online store and when the large sums of money started flowing through they limited my account to do security checks (fair enough. good to know they are keeping an eye on things.) i sent them my passport and bills etc to prove i was legit and purchase orders for all the goods i had received payments for legit. to this day they have not unlimited my account and hold £600.00 of my cash with no sign of giving it back. this is a common thing with paypal. they said they were happy and my account was unblocked but i could nt access the account. i opened a new account and carried on hoping i would get the money back some day. the next time they limited my account i did the same thing and the said they were permenantly locking this account as i had another account with issues on it. - i sent them copies of their emails saying my previous account was fine and restored and my emails asking for support as i couldnt access the account still and all they said was i must deal with the issues of the other account before they would help. so iv lost about £800.00 because their support staff just basically dont care.
i have egold, money bookers, nochex as well as offline payment options but i dont sell near as much as what i used to thanks to paypal.
and because paypal are owned by ebay i started getting problems with my ebay shop. it locked the paypal address in place so i couldnt take it out and then it wouldnt let me list items as the paypal account listed was restricted.

its a sad fact that if you want to trade on ebay you need paypal. and if you want to sell online the best place to do it is ebay. its a viscious circle

I've had problems with PayPal but I've found by working with their staff via phone I've been able to resolve my issues. Any problems I've had do not outweigh the many benefits of using PayPal.

The main reason I use Paypal is

    1) Most services use it.
    2) It sends me cheque in my country currency ( INR)
    3) Got used to it :D
    4) Tough to trust anyone with money! It is live cash out there..

    ..:: peace ::..

Most people use paypal because there arent many other options available that consumers know about.

I don't trust Paypal at all but I would never drop them either.

They are the standard. Period. Too bad that we don't like it.

I don't let my balance get too high so I make regular deposits into my bank account.

Basically, I'm well aware Paypal could close my account for no reason so I like to keep a low balance.
