turns out i signed up for kontera about 2 wks ago but havent heard back from them.. donteven remember signing up with them
Wow, that's pretty impressive service straight off the bat. Oh and for everyone that thought Kontera was only for those from the US, Canada and the UK - I emailed them yesterday asking when Australian would be allowed to join (because in their list of current and soon to be added countries Australia didn't feature) and they sent me a response saying that Australians are actually allowed to participate, and I got the impression that many countries other than just US, Canada and the UK are allowed to participate - it's just that they haven't updated their FAQs.
I used it before too. It did slow down my page loading and the earning of each click is comparatively lower than adsense. Just wonder how the performacne now? can people provide more informaiton?
Good news, signup yesterday and less than 24 hours approved. Just tips, tell the truth your site on their comment fields (traffic, your budget advertising to improve visitor and if possible just give them screen shot your site stats) and let them make decision. Tips above work on me. Ignored your total page view, just tell the truth. Good luck.
I have found the Kontera team to be very responsive and concerned with their publishers. I'm quite pleased to have opened this door for so many small publishers and hope that it will work out great for all parties. Good news for our friends down under as well. Australian publishers may now apply for Kontera, and soon there will be ads native to the continent. Joel
I would advise against expecting too much from Kontera (or Intellitext). Consider them a good, additional source of revenue, and not a replacement for an existing one. Diversification is a good thing.
Sounds great - I sent off an application form and hope I get accepted. I've been interested in this for a while
Update #2: Got my code today and added it to my site a few hours ago (took about 45 seconds).. They dont have real-time stats, so i'll have to wait at least a day to get an idea of how the CTR and CPC is..
Joel Thanks for letting people know this I just want to double check wheter it is confrimed that google allows publishers to put in-text links in addition to adsense ads.
No, no, nothing like that. Just don't expect it to, say, replace your entire Adsense income or even come close. These ads just don't have that type of earning potential in them.
But like you said in a PM to me a 20% increase in revenues by implementing something that takes 10 minutes of your time is nothing to turn your nose up at. I'm very keen to see if it can boost earnings by 10 - 20%, if it can do that then it will definitely be worth my time!
Hmm, I think you mis-read what I said. Let me attempt to clarify: Intellitext/Kontera didn't add 20% additional revenue overall to my daily earnings, but rather it maxed out at around 20% of what I usually earn through Adsense on sites where I run both programs. But since Adsense makes up only 5% of my overall earnings, the additional revenue generated by Intellitext/Kontera is decent, but not overwhelming.
Yes, it is confirmed. All clear. One note about Kontera reporting. It is usually at least two days behind, which doesn't thrill me. However, they have always payed promptly and accurately. So that's a good thing. Joel
