is your page based on 1024x768? that is the most common screen size, by a long shot... 800x600 went out years ago.

you still need to change the color of the ad TITLE.

What do you mean by that? Does the size of the page really affect the adsense income? I think not. :)

hey noob, try reading the thread before posting

steveb claimed that he had to scroll his browser to see the page, but i don't have to do that.

so the point is, if chums page size is based on a 1024x768 monitor window, he's just fine, because that is the standard size that most people on the 'net are using.

a lot of blogs and such are still designing for the 800x600 layout.

because you can't see the TITLE of the ad when it's blended to the page.

I think his site is not only about Cricket Comedy, probably his whole site could be a comedy and his template...

People here giving you the best ideas and you're not implementing, testing and can't even wait for couple of days how it works. There is few success formular to get high CTR and blending, I think above all have been said, now you should follow them and be patience, if it does'nt work, try different things, this also said before, but you are no more ready to put those in your minds and repeating your quotes with 'no more working, no clicks' etc etc. You should learn the basics first..

Just check your template again and your content, your content about cricket and the template is about something like music, totally irrelevant, change your theme similar to your content first, then try the above ad formats, hope you got success.. :)

Overall man from the looks of your site, you need a complete redesign. I agree with one of the previous posters when he says, if I were coming to your page I would leave right away. The entire page just looks like on big advertisement and in general the content makes no sense. The layout doesn't speak comedy nor does your content about sports. If you want to do sports and comedy have a site for each. Just focus your site on one piece of content and create a new navigation.

Sorry, but 800x600 is still kickin at 12-13%, at least for me. I wouldn't just throw those visitors away.

you should put more than just one ad unit. You are allowed to use up to three so why not do it then?

His website isn't based on 1024x768 too because i have to scroll a bit to view the fullpage. I think his website's width is about 1100px...

it's foolish to design for 12-13% of your visitors, when 80% of 'em are using 1024x768 or bigger... remember that the 12-13% figure will only get smaller over time.

so why are you ignoring the vast majority of people who come to your site?

you are throwing away potential earnings and visitors by putting up blank space instead of content and ads... ever heard of the phrase "beneath the fold"?

i'd agree that chums site does look bigger than 1024 wide.

Maybe I don't want 12% of my traffic to have to scroll to the right to read each line of content? Maybe I don't need the extra space? Anyway back on topic his site requires a screen res of 1116px wide. Which happens to be about 100 more than even 1024. That means most likely more than half of his visitors must scroll to the right to read all the content. If they haven't already been confused by the fake media player, hard to read links, etc. His site doesn't have anything to do with music as far as I can see, but his whole theme is based on music. Seems weird.
