    Hello All,

I'm not sure if someone posted about this issue, but after updating my antivirus (Panda) I'm getting a virus warning everytime I get into Google search.

It says that Google's plain_logo.png is infected with W32/RaHack.ET.worm

    What do you think?

    Googles logo is logo.gif

I just checked the collection of all of Googles logo's i posted yesterday, and they have never done a .png logo

Run a spyware scan with something like Spyware Doctor, sounds like something is messing with your browser.

I will follow your advice, though alarmed because Google was infected by viruses once.

Do you remember that episode getting phpBB forums down about two years ago?

During such issue Google used to display a warning regarding its system infected for a brief period of time :O

I'm still getting the same virus message triggering my antivirus.
After viewing www.google.com's source code look what I found:

Could someone verify if you are reading the same or if I'm getting a hijacked page?

Nah, the above code is for a search I made, the main page Google's page displays this:

But in both cases Google has such png image detected as virus and occurring in google.com, google.co.uk, etc. etc. :O

Yes, I'm getting the same across the different Googles

    <body bgcolor=#ffffff text=#000000 link=#0000cc vlink=#551a8b alink=#ff0000 onload="sf();if(document.images){new Image().src='/images/nav_logo.png'}" topmargin=3 marginheight=3>
    Code (markup):
Probably such annoyance is what makes Google acting like a retard from time to time after hitting "search" and there must be something similar at wikipedia exhibitin the same behaviour.

Ah, like those which are harmless but identified as virus due to strict definition patterns, isn't it?

    Nocive or harmless still annoying.

What does a plain, white page needs a PNG background image for?

    Ok interesting, the reason...

The Google logo on a search result page looks like this:

However when you Save background image to your PC and view the same image, it looks like:

    Never knew this one.
