Host for my directories

I have a dedicated server and hosting all of my sites on that. But i think it will be good to host my web directories on a separate server since even accidently any of my sites are banned, i dont want all of them banned because of server relation and to lose everything .

So i want to move my web directories to another server. I am looking for:

    • Cheap and reliable service! It should be working %99 and as cheap as possible.
    • I will have one web directory hosted separately (different class-c ip) from others because that i am planning to link from it to other ones!

So what is your suggestion? Is it a good idea and which hosting services should i use?

    Thanks.

Good idea. But how much space and monthly bandwidth do you need? What is your monthly budget?

I dont think web directories will take much space and bandwidth (they will be paid directories). So i guess a default setting will be enough.

I would like to find a package which support upto five domains.

Monthly budget is not a real problem but i want it as cheap as possible of course.

    Any idea?

If you think about it for a moment, alot of the hosting guys have clients that owns and operates a directory which could reside on the same IP? If your really concern about this issue why not ask in a web hosting forums.

Thanks. Baby plan looks very good. I will investigate it more.

I guess there are some typing errors for Semi Dedicated Plan and Swamp Plan. Check the numbers. You may wish to correct it!

    No problem mate!

BTW, no typos...really. Semi-dedicated plan puts you on boxes with 2 or 3 other people (sorta VPS)...hence more resource allocations and higher price. Swamp simply offers more resource usage than baby but nobody's gonna use that much space and b/w in a shared environment.

BTW, as for the different class C's, I guess you have to buy accounts from different hosts or order multiple accounts from HG by special request that they be put of different servers.

Just out of interest, what do you hope to achieve by putting it on a separate class C address space?

I want to make my directory sites indepenent from my other sites. So one day, i dont want to come here and say "hey all of my sites are banned from google".

I dont know why this happens and how often this happens but i read a "banned from google.." thread recently and thought that. I am waiting comments of people related that especiall who have both powerfull content sites and less valuable sites (e.g. directory sites since they have less content, they are more open to banning.). Do you host them together on the the same dedicated server? Do you register all of them with your name?

I see. I guess I don't really know enough about Google bans, but I'd imagine they are independent of IP address.
