So I just opened my two proxies and so far I've made $5 in two days. For the very start, is this good?
Seems okay but to judge whether it is good or not we really need to know what your traffic has been like over these two days.
It doesn't matter how you start, but how you end. Come back here in 2 months and tell us how much you've earned.
if you are measuring your earnings based on making $0 before your made $5 in your first two days, then I would say that is good. However, if you had already existing traffic levels, then added adsense, you may not be maximizing your adsense revenue potential. So $5 compared to $0 is the first 2 days is great. $5 in your first two days compared to $xx.xx maybe not so great.
I had no traffic before I added adsense. I had about 500 uniques for day 1, and 650 for day 2. I've made about $7 from those two days. However, day 3 (saturday) was really bad. I made $0.02 and got about 40 uniques. The server MUST of been down!?
I would say its not bad at all! considering the swamp of proxy sites online. I know you get weaker paying ads on proxy sites and you need to do some good seo and keyword targetting to break away from the irrelavant google ads that appear. $5 is not bad though. its quite good i'll say. you will know your adsense capabilities in a few months as you start to establish your real traffic. some websites get a spike in traffice on launch and traffic stabilizes or matures in a few months. Thats when you'll know what your constant adsense revenue is.
Proxies seem to the hottest sector right now. Maybe its because proxies do not require much work. I think google will restrict ads on proxies or smartprice them. There are just too many people making them in the quest to earn easy dollars.
Is adsense allowed on proxies ? I dont think so http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=60071 Dont get yourself banned on adsense, to get un-banned is practically impossible and then you will kick your own ass Adsense is the ownly descent programe out there.... Take my advice and take it of your site before you get banned Cheers
Google allowed you to place on the main proxy page. but not on proxified page (page user surfed thru your proxy) because you can't control content of that page.
Earnings will drop as people realize that the ads are ads. You will have to move them around every few days to get a high CTR.
I have fun with proxy but 1 thing for sure: it's not easy to run a good one. It need hard work like other kind of site, at least for me
