Hi all, If you are new to SEO and have a site that needs more traffic and higher search engine rankings……. And have a good heart, please read on…. Every month I’m going to offer 10 free SEO reports, which will include recommendations to your on-page SEO, some keyword research and link building techniques. If you follow this report, I guarantee you will see an improvement with your search engine rankings. All I ask for in return, is that you donate some money to the charity of my choice. Every month I will select a new charity. As my friend has recently been diagnosed with Cancer, I couldn’t think of a batter charity than Cancer Research UK. Feel free to donate what you can afford. So, who is first?
What you're doing is noble and good, but you have to establish some authority (ie more than 86 posts) for someone to work with you. Good luck.
Poohbear88 - What have people got to loose? I don't gain anything, other than getting people to help charities I care about. Maybe once I have completed one, they can post feedback so they can advise others on what my reports are like. wwwdoc - I am sending you a PM now.
I just want to say, that I think this is a very noble idle, and I will be back to donate once I get my site finished!
What do they have to lose? A Lot.... Bad SEO advice can destroy some ones business... this is NOT child's play.... If you are feeling brave.. you can send me a report on a site U have previously done and I will break it down for everyone.. to establish if they are professional and worthy.... Personally, ANY free report it likely to get torn to sheds by me.. If you were good enough to be offering SEO reports... they likely wouldn't be free.... Sounds like a rookie trolling for leads.... bah humbug!
Your right about bad SEO but everyone has to start somewhere. Without a large pool of SEO success stories how can a new SEO do business without offering some kind of promotion. My question is what makes you someone who can decide if the reports are "professional and worthy"?
uhhh.. 10 years... 100s of sites.. well read AND written ( a book, dozens of high quality articles, blogs posts and more) and VERY well respected in the SEO community... I could give you many, many reasons why I qualify there M8.. have no worries there.... I am a hound dog of Bad SEO and folks that give the industry a bad rep... so talk to me now.. or talk to me later.... Since they are FREE let's have a link to one posted here for us all to see... no point in sending your URLs or emails to them until we see the product... It is FREE right? SHouldn't be a problem with that then huh?
Just like any other SEO who comes to a forum claiming to have all that experience and success. It is all just words without providing some kind of proof to back it. I am not trying to rip on you I am just stating my opinion on what you said earlier. Anyway I am sure you know your stuff but how would someone new to SEO know who accually knows their stuff and who doesn't? You would need to provide some proof that you indeed are an expert on SEO. Back to my original thought. Everyone has to start somewhere and without the experience and large porfolio of clients how can one get started? The only option is to offer promotions like the one above.
The idea with the free SEO report is to give new SEO's some pointers, which are obvious for experienced SEO’s but are not so for the new guys in this industry. I'm here to point out the basic stuff like selecting the right keywords to target, keyword placement, some improvements with design, link building techniques and so on. I know for a fact that doing so, will improve rankings – As I’ve applied the same techniques to my own sites. Anyway, I just want to reassure new SEO's that my advice is strictly within the search engines guide lines. I'll let the webmaster I'm doing the report for decide whether they want to publish it. I'm cool but I do respect their privacy.
It's a free forum. Help the newbies if you want and if you get customers out of it down the road. That's fine too. Offer bad advice and it will surface on its own soon enough.
well i think SEOBangkok has a very good heart and your idea is indeed a noble one... Good Luck and God Bless..
Guys: even if you are experienced with SEO and don't need a report, I hope you can all donate something, it's a great organisation I've completed one report already. Selife: thanks for the kind words.
I already said... BAD SEO advice is not a premise for a charity drive. You say you have completed a report.. please upload it somewhere and provide EVERYONE a link.... IF it is FREE and QUALITY.. there is nothing to fear right? If not you are TROLLING for emails IMO.... and leads with the guise of a charitable whatever I shall keep this pressure up until U do so... or else ..something is fishy..... Please do let us have a look would U Putt up or... well U know what comes next... some crappy reports from WEBCEO or other program is NOT gonna cut it M8
I do this EVERY DAY on forums... I don't need peoples EMAIL and contact info to do so..... Once again.. put up or shut up.... let's see the report
EXACTLY.. I want HIM to provide some PROOF... it's a FREE report right? So what's the deal? Let's have a look? I didn't start by offering reports.. why am I proving myself? You know who I am Gaz (or should) - I am on MOST of the top SEO boards (including SEO Guy with U BTW)... I have NEVER HEARD of this fella.... so let's see ..how did U put it? Some evidence
Gotten the report from SEOBangkok, the report consist of the following. 1. word doc (3 pages) which covers -- design : page layout / placement -- keywords : keyword placement, analyse and suggesting better keyword for targeting which relates to my site (which makes perfect sense to me) -- On page SEO : Title tags, Image alt , file, image naming convention etc. -- Link Building : techniques to create awareness for bring traffic to my site 2. excel spreadsheet of 100 relevant keywords -- KEI /Count/24 hr Google/competing 3. image file suggesting about the site's layout Having a new site that has never been optimized for SE, SEOBangkok's advices/recommendation is very logical and a start for me. I have never paid for SEO services so am unsure about the value of such report but i can say that SEOBangkok spent at least an hour on actual research and writing - it took 20 mins for me to write this post I am really glad be in this forum that has good people like SEOBangkok, thegypsy, Searchnology.com, Web Gazelle, PoohBear88 and others looking out protecting newbie like me. rgds, Tim
