What is the going rate for a copywriter?

    There's no general "going rate" for a copywriter. You might find a beginner who will do it for a few dollars per page. Professionals with a proven track record might charge hundreds or more per page. It's also going to depend on the amount of copy you actually need done.

    Depends on writer and quality of writing

    You can get bad quality long writing at cheap or can get high quality, unique writing at a higher price - you have to decide.

    Yes, there is no a writing rule to price copywriting jobs at fixed rates.

    There is no general rate for a copywriter.

    Just as it has been mentioned above - the individual rate depends on many variables:
    field of writing
    experience of the writer
    quality of the accomplished task
    and so on.

    Anyway, probably an extensive look around this forum can help you outline rate tendencies.:)

    You can pay copy writer per word or per character. That is how I do it. Instead of hourly

    Yes, paying per our in such a profession is madness, in my humble opinion.

    Per word or per whole articles written is more reasonable, by no doubt.
