Forum Owners I need Your opinion

Hello I am not sure if this is the right section but I was wondering where do forum owners see the high % clicking.

For example ads in the right side header?
Ads after the first post?

The reason I want to know is I dont want to have too many ads in places I dont really need them. My space is limited. I am not talking about my site in my sig either my site I am talking about is on vb.

Etc Please let me know thanks for your input in advance

 

I get my most clicks from the top spot on the page compared to the inline ads after the first post.

I tried a lot of things.

Now I am getting a lot of clicks from adlinks at the top of my forum:

The CTR went up after I shifted the adlinks to the left of the banner - earlier they were at the right as in DP.

Ads btw the posts like after 2nd and before 3rd posts and if you can then placing the ads near Post Reply | Next works good .

 

Under the top naviation menu works pretty good.

 

Thanks guys for your help what I was also thinking of doing was using link ads and then regular block ads between the posts. but having it random.

Also under the nav I was going to do for sure.

 

I Get Revenue From Image Ads Of Google Which I Place On Top As Mostly Lechers Visited My Website And Earlier When I Had Text Ads It Was A Pity Only 3 Clicks On 10000 Pageviews Daily, So I Changed Setings Of Forum So Dat There Would More Pge Impressions And It Worked

Yeah the after the first post thing seems to work I suppose.

 

Ads after first post hasnt done all the good for my forum (link in signature). I will be trying some banner ads etc. Will let you know how they go.

u can embed the ads in first post of page

As of my experience:
- Billboard in header, under the top naviation menu, works pretty well;
- Ad after 1st post works good until there are >5 posts on page;
- Ad before the last post works good.

The top spot on the homepage is it for me! I don't know about the adsense after first post stuff, I have tried it, but it didn't give me the click through I desired!

 

hmm it must work though because many people do it you should maybe make it random having it show sometimes in the first post then last or middle

 

My best ones are in the R side column, believe it or not...
