I have an article directory ( http://www.bestarticlesdirectory.com ) and i was wondering if there was anyway to automatically make sitemaps. That just updated like everytime a new article was added or at a certain time each day. thanks, jon
Its not exactly what you want but its a great way of creating a sitemap quickly and easily: http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/
Yes thats good link but they have some limits - i think only 500 URLs sitemap for free then BUCKS to pay I did pay and it doesnt work for big sitemaps.
If you buy the standalone version for 14.99 It will do unlimited pages and you could set it on a cron so it will update daily or weekly or whatever time duration you want. Here is a sample of one of my sites using www.xml-sitemaps.com Request date: 15 February 2007, 22:24 Processing time: 159882.02s Pages indexed: 17217 Sitemap files: 1 Pages size: 127.64Mb Download: XML sitemap In text format HTML sitemap Easy to setup and it will automatically update and notify Google after every sitemap update. Well worth the cost.
AutoMapIt.com will not only create your sitemaps and update them for you, but will help out with loads of other stats on your site and offers a search box for your site plus a whole lot more.
Just give me the link & I will give you your sitemap for free within 24 hours. JUst PM me for one Regards Ishan
I think GSiteCrawler automatically creates and uploads sitemap to your server and pings google. Not sure about it.
