i have noticed popular pages, come up as a sub page on my site. Not a full listing. I would suppose as more sites of a particular directory get hit from searches from google, it decides to put sub-section links under your site. Example, myubercoolforums.com/forum1 really cool stuff myubercoolforums.com/forum2 even more cool stuff are hit frequently and all threads within thoes sections get a lot of search traffic. so they then become "useful" sub links to your website. Do you believe that that is the methodology in getting sub headings to your main site in Google? Google's answer is that it is automated, but there is something that these sites have in common that are automating this process by Google.
