It looks like people claim more than they can do. Please, who has a positive experience with copywriters let me know. My topic is finance and company formation

    Hi, Blacksnow,

You can take the help of this thread.
There you can see listed the fields of expertise of the copywriters who "inhabit" this forum. I believe that the thread will much shorten the way to your perfect copywriter.

Have a nice day today :)

How much are you paying? If you want to pay very little, you may well get very little.

Are you actually looking for COPYWRITING or general content writing? They are not one and the same. It also depends on the quality you are looking for. There are professionals here, but they charge significantly more than most of the writers you'll see frequenting these boards.

Copywriting is very specific. It's about promoting something, like in the case of writing the copy of a sales brochure, email or webpage. Are you trying to sell a product? If so the copy will be assembled differently than copy designed to inform a reader about the product or service. Good writers will also take into consideration SEO techniques.

Content writing is different in that it tends to follow less of a specific guideline than copywriting for an item and isn't focused on persuading the reader. Editorials, interviews, news articles, reviews all fall under content writing.

These are general rules. Some may say that an editorial is trying to influence a reader's opinion, just as copywriting, but I tend to see writing copy primarily as sales related.

Chant summed up the differences pretty well. Copywriting is designed to promote and/or sell something, whereas general content writing tends to instruct, inform or entertain the reader. They are very different and require a different set of skills from one another.

Exactly. An easy way to look at it is this:

Content writing = informative (you're just telling the reader something for the reasons Denise mentioned)

    Copywriting = action-oriented
(the writing is designed to get the reader to act in some way - might be to buy something, to sign up for something even if it's free, to donate to a cause, etc.)

There are professionals here on both fronts, and as Denise said, they also charge a good bit more. I'm assuming what you want is a "content writer." Just post a thread in the content creation forum, and you'll probably get plenty of low bids to choose from.

I've had the same issue in the past. It's hard to find a good writer in the finance industry.

These are some of the issues I've faced when looking for a finance writer:
    1. They did not have enough knowledge in the subject; especially mortgages. I've come across many articles with factual errors.
    2. Some writers had poor grammar.
    3. The writers who were qualified, were too expensive for my budget.

Like most things in life, you get what you pay for.

    Definitely.
Balancing quality and payment is not an easy task, indeed. But it may become quite easier when an employer sets the greater weight - to either quality or money.[IMG]

If you are in need of a copywriter for the web than this is a different story. I find there is a big market for SEO copywriters. They not only make your pages sell but they also give you quality content for your pages making them search engine friendly

Hire the best or there is another way out.

Get a specialist in the field and get the articles written on the desired topics. Then you can opt for a person who will charge less but is excellent in grammar.
Offcourse the success of this model depends on the quantum of work you have!

That why I added a rider that the sucess of this plan depends on the quantum of the work.
If the workload is too less this model will not work. However if its too high than you can economise on the payment to the specialist and then get it rewritten.
Alternatively you can just take pointers from the specialists and get it rewritten.
I admit this needs manmnagement skills.
