I would add a custom layout because it looks like a typical blog template. Also, try removing your adsense border so that it blends in better.

suggest that you throw away your adsense border.it will make your adsense more attractive.Otherwise,that's a good start.Change your Theme.It will make your website more like pro approach.And try to create your web header.that is term of branding your side.Try to built a logo for it.

most awkward thing, i would say, is your adsense border. as suggested earlier, removing these borders will not only increase your CTR but look and feel will also be improved
