I bought the domain www.study-habit.com a while ago and got it indexed and then i decided to go for www.study-habits.com instead and got it indexed a week ago. I redirected study-habit to study-habits (301) but Google doesn't seem to get this. I wake up today and see that study-habits.com is not even indexed!! Although the pr bar is NOT gray, what does this mean? Duplicate content filter or what? What should I do??
just wait for one or maybe two days, and clear you cache or cookies then check your site again, maybe this is because of your pc is having a offline copy or something
No, actually it's more than that. I checked www.study-habits.com in different data centers and some had it indexed while others didn't. I am confused, it says the site has pr 0 and that means it is still indexed, right? What can I do?
See the results for your site here www(dot)iwebtool(dot)com/google_banned?domain=www(dot)study-habits(dot)com
It says it didn't find any results. The site still shows page rank though, I can't really see why it should be removed from the index. Did Google counter problems understanding my 301 redirect?
I just noticed that I have a lot of broken links on my site which I have to fixe. Could that possibly be the answer?
Just checked your site. Google is showing it has indexed your home page. Last cached on 12th Feb, 2007. Clear your cache and coockies then recheck.
Selly, as I noted earlier the different data centers are showing different results. See: http://www.webrankinfo.com/english/tools/google-data-centers.php I'm in the index in approximately half of the 17 data centers and outside of the index in the other half and its fluctuating.
Ya you have some time to wait.... Hell look what happens when you change a title on a page. Sometimes it can take a few weeks to update. Be Patient.....
For many low traffic, low PR sites, you won't even be spidered all that frequently, let alone "deep-crawled". Search engines simply don't respond that quickly. It may take several weeks to a few months for Google to react to the changes. It's not a penalty or a ban - it's just the way things work.
