Oh what a joke, I've had a guts full of my ISP ... this is their response when I basically said "sort it out or give me a refund": I can think of better ways to spend my £50 besides, it was more of a 'nice to have' rather than a necessity. If an ISP wants to be so anal about not wanting to sell a service they are selling then they can go !****! themselves .....
Sounds typical of an English company tell you every reason why you cannot have a service How about the normal way .. you can have this service for this price Much simpler
Hello.... Well said! I have just spoken with Hostgator and unfortunitly will be relocating my 28 current sites soon to a New host who can handle our demands pure and simple. We are building daily and had plans for adding an additional 70 directories to be hosted but they cannot meet our demands after I called as well as e-mailed them about C class status. In other words they are just slowing our progress and this cannot happen. The only other option they offered is to have me get hatchling package at a cost of $7 per site monthly which would be $700 monthly for 100 unique ips. directories to be hosted. which i think is a bit high. thx malcolm
The problem is with hosting companies is that they advertise getting IP's as if it was easy, they'll tell you an additional IP will cost you _ _$ a month more, but what they don't tell you is that it needs that propagation process which it needs a very good reason for them to let you have it, as I said before, your host and your ISP does not really sell you this on hand, they are a middleman sorta speak, they have to tell Arin or whom ever it is that they get this IP's from. My Malcolm Can you handle all that, got staff working for you? hehe he.
Hi Agni, I couldn't be bothered putting it forth.... I had just had enough. If they are going to be so anal about it then they don't deserve my money ... anyway, as I said above - it was a 'nice to have' and not really a necessity... Thanks for suggesting it though. it is a valid reason and they would have no choice but to accept it. If in a couple of months time, the need arises, I can always 'apply' for the 16 ip addresses again and give SSL as the reason why
