Finding a Niche...

I've been having trouble finding a niche...

I know its something i like and compassionate about but i like a lot of things... from Cooking to Pet Mice... from stocks to web hosting and everything in between. So i dont know what to choose!

How did you get your niche?

Blog about the thing you like the most. If you like mice more than cooking then mice it should be :)

    Thanks for your comment

Now I've also been thinking.... Make lots of niche blogs or one blog with lots of niches?

I'd go for '' lots of niche blogs''. The problem which arises in this case is that you need to find time to update all the blogs individually. In the second case, you do not have that headache atall.

I was leaning toward lots of niche blogs becuase if 3 out of 6 fail i got the other 3 to work with...

Now i have to decide which niche to start with

There have been others who have looked at this thread, but it looks like I'm the only person who has bothered to reply ;)
The decision of which niche to choose is completely yours btw.

Its a popular niche but is it good... No IMO because its to popular if its in top 5 and you'd have to much competition.

I have this same problem. What I am trying to do is try out one niche area first and give it all my attention. I'll know by 3-6 months whether it's worthwhile or not. If it isn't then I'm going to try another area.

Mix them and make a site about how to sell stocks in a web hosting company that cooks pet mice. Thats what I call a niche. You cant get it more niche than that. Go for it.

Choose something you love, but more importantly something you have tons of knowledge in.

I'd suggest the other way around - choose something you love and go for it with passion. Passion is an unquestionable step to knowledge :)
Anyway, choose your niche the way you like it - just a suggestion from my side. ;)

Just start trying to make blog posts and see what comes naturally. Some subjects will probably be tedious to write about, and others will come easily.

I would start with one you feel you can write about every day, or at least several times per week. And good, informative posts, not just 1 paragraph.

Once that one is up and running, see if you can dedicate the time to start another. But I can't see you being hugely successful at more than 2 blogs - unless you don't work =0)
