a blog about expensive 'toys', treatments, etc...does that in turn translate to more money? i guess its common sense that a business that is selling stuff that costs hundreds of thousands of dollars would pay more in adwords advertising. is this correct?
Seems logical enough, just as advertisers of free stuff have less of a budget. On the other hand, the click-through-rate might be lower for expensive items... Cryo.
but the thing i don't get is. do you just relate your blog to your site so people visit the site and click on your ads. Or do you advertise on your blogs or is this not allowed?
It's a combination of the profit margin and the competition in that particular industry. For example, a click on an ad that results in the sale of a computer for several thousand dollars might not be worth that much because the profit margin on the sale is so slim. However on the flipside, the computer hardware has a lot of competitors in it who are generally web savvy, so this competition may well push the PPC up.
