It's nice to see that hard work pays off sometimes. I was really shocked when my directory hit a PR5 on the first update, but hey I'm not complaining. A couple more dirs that I don't really spend time on hit PR3 or 2 which is cool, but I'm happy about the 5. Hopefully I'll get 6 next time around. How did you all do with your PR updates on directories?

Congrats and thats preety cool achievement. I bought a 2nd-hand directory which was PR3--but had absolutely--00 traffic in January as the previous owner had no time to promote it. Since I took over, it ia averaging between 40-70 Unique/day. And yes--if one really works hard and put efforts himself--he can really get upto PR5 in first update. But it is after that which becomes really hard to climb. But I believe --a directory is not all about only PR---Page Strength is as important if not more. Best of luck though.

I lost track . I hit up all of Dan's list, hit all the updates to his list, submitted to top directories like Alive, Aviva and other paid directories, paid for submission services, etc, etc.
Congratulations! I can't wait to see two of mine. Predicted PR5 and PR6 in the next update with high %. I normally make any directory from PR0 to PR4 in one update except this one. I usually want to take some time instead of buying too many links too sudden. I'm not talking about sandbox penalty, but I like to grow my dirs slowly. I'm cheap, so I usually spend $10 or $20 for PR4. But to get PR5, you need to spend at least $30. Money talks...

I also Purchased links on your other site Directorytube were i purchased 4 links 1. sleek 2. biz-king 3. adult-url 4. biz-giant Now if its not to much to ask re-add as agreed in paypal #(ID #5JV93988GG717213N) I think you should make this your main concern rather then the hype. thx malcolm
Is it really your the rate? If you can guarantee ---PR5 --for $30--I am here--let me know. I have already spent around $350 for one of my site and expecting PR6 for next update. But realistically that is not on. Google's system does not work like that. Anybody can just buy 3 PR4 links and 2 PR5 links and get PR5. But--NOOO. It won't happen like that --you will loose your PR by next update when Gogle sorts out. The real strong Directories are who have good PR and high page strength-high number of link popularity --indexed pages-wtih huge number of quality backlinks. Even then, with all these attributes Aviva came down from PR7 to PR6. Bottomline--its not that easy to go up--its harder to remain there.
Yes. It is very hard to keep the PR. Some good dirs dropped their PR. It's better to grow slowly, I think. I am taking almost 6 months to get PR5 to PR6. At this point, I have not even decided to go for PR7. Mostly it's a matter of investment, and that's not what I concern. I don't want to lose SERPs. A higher SERP is more important for me.
Well, I hope you guys should definitely solve the issue. Any paid directory has to act as a professional business. Please let me know what's up. It is important for me to know my fellow DP members (esp. dir owners)
All of his links are up there. Malcom, I didn't respond to your PM in 10 minutes, that doesn't mean I'm avoiding you, it means I'm busy and I'm not sitting at my computer refreshing the DP page. Your links have always been on Tube, and they are up on Infinity as well. I'm no scammer .
